Description

This project involved the complete repair and rehabilitation of the 2,000 m² Mess Hall and Recreation Building roof at Zeit Bay Field. The works aimed to improve durability, functionality, and weather resistance in compliance with the project Scope of Work (SOW) and applicable standards.

Scope of Work:

• Dismantling the existing suspended tiled ceiling and installing a new upgraded system with stainless steel framing and gypsum board panels.
• Removing the existing roof slab and installing Alex-panel Secret Fix Roof Sandwich Panels, consisting of double metal lining insulated with polyurethane foam. These panels are suitable for food-handling facilities and offer fire resistance, full watertightness, condensation prevention, resistance to biological agents, energy efficiency, and high thermal insulation. The system is also compatible with solar cell installations.
• Fabrication and installation of an integrated rainwater drainage system, including internal and external gutters.
• Dismantling existing ducts and installing new ductwork.
• Fabrication and installation of sun sheds to protect existing chillers from harsh environmental conditions.
• Fabricating and installing supports for ducts and associated systems.

All materials, installation, and finishing works—including sandblasting and painting—were supplied and executed by EL-KHOLY, ensuring high-quality workmanship and long-term performance.
