Offshore Pipeline & Steel Structures Construction
Location
Abu Rudeis, Red Sea
Description
The construction of an offshore pipeline extension for transporting crude oil from offshore wells to an onshore separation station was successfully completed. The pipeline extension, with a 10-inch diameter and SCH 80 rating, spans a total length of 1 kilometer.
As part of the project, two steel structures were constructed: one to house the power generator and the other to accommodate the pumps station, both designed to support the pipeline's operations. The scope of work included welding the pipeline parts, assembling the necessary infrastructure, and transporting materials to the onshore site.
To ensure the pipeline's safety and operational efficiency, various tests were conducted, including hydrostatic pressure tests and integrity assessments. These tests were crucial in confirming the pipeline's reliability and readiness for operation.
